A very brief post to announce that I took this car out for its first test drive yesterday! After several long years of work, it’s nice to pass this milestone. Everything went pretty well, with a short list of issues to deal with. Nothing too daunting. The odometer doesn’t work. I want to double-check the radiator fan operation as the temps get a little high idling. They are fine at speed. And the idle speed is high. But all in all it’s great to get this car on the road. NC safety inspection is next, which will allow me to get permanent tags.  I’ll be putting in some test miles over the next few weeks and hope to make a track event soon. Stay tuned.
